Here's a sketch of the anti-eating mouth cage, designed to allow people to breathe and talk normally while looking like Hannibal Lecter.
According to the Web site, this product was granted a U.S. patent in 1982. I guess it never did catch on.
Neither did the Brian Buzzer, although I think it would be useful in office meetings.

Maybe it didn't catch on because they didn't offer it in a variety of fashion colors. Wouldn't want my mouth cage to clash with my outfit (or my Brain Buzzer).
