Another Flock of Seagulls?
I've been told that a few '80s fashion trends are returning, such as preppy shirts in pastel colors. If I see someone wearing a pair of corduroy shorts with an "Op" stitched on them, then I'll believe it.
But watching Saturday Night Live last weekend, something else looked very '80s:
The hair on the guitarist for the musical guest, AFI. It's kind of a skater-wave hairdo with a skunky bleach job. Something that would've fit into a "Flock of Seagulls" video, I believe.
As for the band, probably not an '80s sound. But the song "Love Like Winter," is pretty catchy, although sung in the ever-popular "could you please pass the Afrin nasal spray" tone. Maybe it's just me who thinks the guy sounds like he needs to blow his nose.
I do like the band, though.
