As the squirrel turns
A squirrel lover I know says squirrels are smart little creatures, but I'm not so sure. Brave, yes, because they often plant themselves in the middle of the road when cars are coming. But smart?
Today's damaging evidence to squirrel-intellect proponents involves the photo at right. It shows a squirrel with its head stuck in a tree. Actually, it looks like most of its upper body -- do squirrels have a torso? -- is also stuck in there.
Thankfully, the squirrel was removed from the hole after 45 minutes of sawing (the tree, not the squirrel). The squirrel then scurried away, happy, free and headed for a busy road.

Squirrels are the only animal for which I speed up while I'm driving.

I don't think Darwin would've wanted the tree chainsawed!

Squirrels in residential areas should all be killed! This isn't negotiable. These varmints get into houses & buildings and cause extreme damage to property, along with unhealthy conditions created for the occupants.
