Honus Wagner = $2.35 million

I collected baseball cards growing up, so I heard about the famous 1909 Honus Wagner tobacco card. It's pretty much the ultimate baseball-card prize because it's even more rare than the name "Honus."

Still, I can't see how it can fetch $2.35 million at an auction. But somebody really wanted it -- in this case to an unnamed "Southern California collector."

Note to that collector: You can have my entire collection for a lot less than that. It includes complete Topps and Donruss sets from 1984 to 1989. Also, it includes about 300 pieces of the unchewable gum that was included in the wax packs.

And if anyone wants a 1985 Topps card of former Texas Longhorn Spike Owen, I'm sure I can dig several of those up. I think Topps must have made a billion of those.
