The 10 most overrated TV shows

Former 'ER' stars to the set, STAT! (NBC)

Today the website TVSquad.com posted its top-10 most overrated shows of all time. Doesn't go out on a limb much, because I don't think anyone has ever claimed that The Real World was more than a sometimes-entertaining train wreck.

I thought ER, however, was good for a long time. It's now on life support (and the storylines are more forced than that medical-metaphor tie-in.) I think I would put Home Improvement on the list, too, because it lasted so long.

TVSquad's list is below. If anyone has a show to add, or really feels strongly about the comic genius of Tim Allen, go for it.

1. ER
2. Who Wants to be a Millionaire/Deal or No Deal (Tie)
3. Grey's Anatomy
4. Laugh In
5. Jimmy Kimmel Live
6. The Real World
7. Family Guy
8. Married with Children
9. Friends
10. Saved by the Bell

Blasphemy. There is nothing overrated about Saved By The Bell.

Family Guy? Overrated?!!! Now THAT is ridiculous! However, I can see why some people just wouldn't get it, just like some people inexplicably can't wrap their heads around Arrested Development, the funniest sitcom of all time. Probably the same people that laugh at Blue Collar Comedy.

Arrested Development. It was so sad to see that get cancelled as other junk continued. Yes, I'm pointing at you, "According to Jim."

I have been watching ER since 94 and it's still one of my favorite shows. Better than a lot of other shows on TV.

Have to comment again. I agree about Grey's Anatomy, but Married with Chilren is one of THE funniest TV shows ever.

I'm a huge Arrested Development fan but just don't like the family guy--I hate the main character--the writing's great but can't get past the stupid Fred Flintstone-rehash Dad (just my humble opinion) I thought "Roseanne" was pretty overrated.

Laugh In? Seriously? Must be a bunch of 20-something geeks at TVSquad. No one over 40 would have voted for that.
