Your pick: smashed tomatoes or huge ball of twine

In case you missed it, Wednesday was the La Tomatina food fight festival in Buñol, Spain. People with nothing better to do come from all over the world to get pelted with tomatoes in one of the more bizarre tourist attractions in the world.

It's called a "harmless" battle, but in many of the photos people are wearing goggles. I guess, just like my mom said, you can "take somebody's eye out" when you're throwing things that aren't meant to be thrown.

Of course, if Spain is a little too out of the way for you, can head to Minnesota for an equally exciting tourist attraction:

The world's largest ball of twine.
